Just like the visa applicants that Skilled Migration Group assist to start a new life in Australia and New Zealand, the founders of Skilled Migration Group were born outside of Australia.
One founder was born in Aotearoa, which is the indigenous Māori name for the country known in English as New Zealand, and the other founder was born in England.
Both of the founders of Skilled Migration Group became Australian Citizens as soon as they became eligible, which was more than 30 years ago.
Australia is often nicknamed the lucky country, where everyone is given a fair go.
New Zealand is frequently called "God's Own Country" (or colloquially "Godzone") which dates back to an 1890 poem about New Zealand by Thomas Bracken. Bracken was also the author of the words to the national anthem, God Defend New Zealand.

Today the principal company of the group is Skilled Migration Group Limited. It is owned outright by its two Australian founders, citizens for more than thirty years, and incorporated in Hong Kong as the central base for a group that trades globally.
Twice we chose more regulation than the law required: incorporation in Hong Kong, with its genuine governance and audit obligations, rather than a brass-plate haven, and Australian registration for every agent, including one who lives outside Australia where registration is not required at all.
