The Purpose of an Initial Consultation and why it’s required
It is standard practice for Australian Registered Migration Agents and Licensed New Zealand Immigration Advisers to conduct an initial meeting with every client as the first step.
This is referred to as what is called an Initial Consultation, and the purpose of your Initial Consultation is to learn about you, your situation, what your long term plans are and the visa options that might be open to you.
A service agreement is not required for an initial consultation.
Our fee for a potential visa applicant or employer to have an Initial Consultation with a Principal Australian Registered Migration Agent to review visa options and migration pathways for Australia is USD$289.
Our fee for a potential visa applicant or employer to have an Initial Consultation with a New Zealand Licensed Immigration Adviser to review visa options and migration pathways for New Zealand is USD$289.
Our fee for a potential visa applicant or employer to have an Initial Consultation with a Principal Australian Registered Migration Agent AND New Zealand Licensed Immigration Adviser to review visa options and migration pathways for BOTH Australia AND New Zealand is USD$339.
The consultation takes place over Zoom and lasts a minimum of 60 minutes.
The fees for initial consultations are credited against the overall price of your visa process or immigration matter if after being provided with immigration assistance advice you proceed to engage our services.

We listen to you, as you tell us about your needs and what your ultimate migration goals are.
We discuss in depth with you, your previous and current circumstances, situation, and if applicable, your eligible family members.
We apply current Migration Law to the facts of your situation.
We assess all visa options and migration pathways that are open to you.
We explain and discuss with you all visa options and migration pathways, and any advantages, and potential disadvantages of each one.
You will be given advice on your chances of your visa application being approved.
You will be given advice if there are ways to improve your chances of your visa application being successful.
You will be given advice on any areas of your case that you may need support with, and how Skilled Migration Group can help you in these areas if you engage our professional services.
You will be given a guide to what successful visa approvals would permit you to do and explain any potential limitations (visa conditions) that might be applied to a visa.
You will be given a guide and explanation of the visa application process.
You will be given an estimated time frame for the preparation of your visa application to be completed, and provided with the current visa processing times.
You will be given a clear understanding of the costs, fees and expenses involved including:-
Visa application charges, an estimate of any health examination costs (if required), skills assessment for migration purposes (if required), English language testing for migration purposes (if required) and any other potential expenses you might incur.
