Peter worked for the Australian Caterpillar Dealer, Hastings Deering Australia Limited for 35 years.

During which time Peter, managed the Cat Certified Engine Rebuild Facility, at Port Curtis Road, Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia.

The Cat certified rebuild program is designed to create a globalised standard, and under Peter’s management of the rebuild facility, you could get a 3500 series engine rebuilt under the Cat certified rebuild program, from day one of arrival at the facility, through strip down, assess, rebuild, test and dyno, in a 6-week turnaround time. All backed by a 10,000 hour, 24 month warranty.

Peter has vast experience with Caterpillar engines, 3600 series, C27’s, C32’s and 3500’s, and while the 3500 series is being phased out, it will take years to do this and we anticipate a need for Caterpillar Engine Specialists for Caterpillar 3500 series engine rebuilds for many years to come.

Peter also managed the Cat Certified Component Rebuild Center in Mackay, Queensland, Australia for Hastings Deering. After 35 years working for the Caterpillar Dealer Peter went on to work as the Group Maintenance Manager for Mackellar Mining Group for 10 years.

In 2023 North American Construction Group purchased Mackellar Mining Group, Peter helped transitioned the business during the takeover by North American Construction Group.
