This is the Workplace Health And Safety Policy of Skilled Migration Group Limited.
Our statement of general policy is implemented with the following as its primary focus:
• To maintain a safe and healthy working environment and conditions.
• To prevent accidents and cases of ill health related to work.
• To provide adequate control of any Health and Safety risks arising from work activities.
• To provide and implement and maintain safe equipment and the use thereof.
• To ensure safe handling of any substances.
• To provide adequate supervision, instructions and information for all employees.
• To ensure employees are competent and well trained for their assigned tasks.
• To review and revise the OH & S policy regularly to ensure it is current and maintained.
Responsibilities
The General Manager of Skilled Migration Group Limited has overall and final responsibility for Workplace Health and Safety.
The General Manager and or his/her Deputy have day to day responsibility for ensuring this policy is put into practice and implemented.
All employees have to :
• Co-operate with supervisors and managers on Health and Safety matters
• Not interfere with anything provided to safeguard their Health and Safety.
• Take reasonable care of their own Health and Safety.
• Report all Health and Safety concerns to an appropriate person (as detailed in this policy statement)
Arrangements
• Risk assessments will be undertaken by the Skilled Migration Group Limited Quality Manager and reported to the Skilled Migration Group Limited General Manager.
• Action required to remove/control risks will be approved by the Skilled Migration Group Limited Quality Manager and his/her Deputy will be responsible for ensuring action is taken and the hazard removed by a set date. Regular assessments will be carried out every quarter.
• Worker and employer members of the joint Workplace Health and Safety Committee are to meet on a regular basis to discuss and approve any changes to this policy of the Work Environment.
• The arrangements for the two-way flow of information to and from workers to management, is the responsibility of Management and all employees.
